BSA Troop 335, McCandless Township, PA, has been serving the communities in the North Hills of Pittsburgh for over 50 years! Our Troop’s mission is to provide an opportunity for advancement, personal growth and above all fun for every boy who becomes a member of Troop 335. Our goals are to develop boys into Scouts, and Scouts into men and having boys who strive to live by the Scout Oath and Law, growing in character, leadership, citizenship and fitness while continuing the Trail to Eagle.
MEETINGS
We meet Monday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Northmont United Presbyterian Church (8169 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15237). The Troop has activities and camp outs every month including white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking and snow sports. Other popular activities include the Gourmet Challenge weekend, Klondike Derby, Good Turn Weekend and many more.
TRAIL-TO-SCOUTS PROGRAM
For over 30 years, we have proudly organized the Trail-To-Scouts Program held at a regional Scouting America property annually in the fall. Trail-to-Scout is a Scout created, Scout-run weekend for Arrow of Light Scouts and their parents to give a small example of what Scouting BSA is and encourages them to continue onto Scouting BSA and continuing on the Trail to Eagle.
